Below you will find tryout announcements for Team New England’s entry in the 2010
America’s Showcase (formerly the Chicago Showcase). This will be the 14th year we
place an entry in this prestigious tournament. The America’s Showcase will be held in
Pittsburgh, PA. Since we have been going we have always proven to be one of the
stronger teams by placing no lower than eighth place ever out of twenty-four teams!!
More importantly we have represented our region with true sportsmanship and a great
deal of class. Last year’s team had the chance to compete against the top teams in the
country including Team Minnesota, Team Wisconsin, and Team North Dakota.
The determining factor to play for Team New England in the America Showcase is NOT
residency, but the state in which the player competes. For example, we cannot bring a
player from Manchester, NH who plays for Cushing Academy. Likewise, if a player
from Massachusetts plays for Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire he is eligible
for Team New England.
Please note we do not put the players through an intense tryout, but rather ask them to
display their skill level to the staff. We do not want one player getting hurt and will
remind them of this before we begin the tryout.
The tryout for this year’s team will be as follows:
Date: Sunday, February 7, 2010
Time: 2pm- 4pm, please arrive no later than 1pm
Location: The Rinks at Exeter, Exeter, NH

The America’s Showcase will be held April 13 – 18, 2010. All players must arrive in
Pittsburgh on April 13, 2010, details to follow if you are selected to the team. If you
